Thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday 30th March for the Bear Paw Walk. The ENTIRE proceeds from the Bear Paw Walk go directly to benefit rescued and exploited bears. Once bears are rescued they need medical care, housing, and food for life. We are proud to announce that funds were raised this year to sponsor five rescued bears. ‘Hero’, (Sloth bear) in India, ‘Kayasin’ (Asiatic black bear) in Laos and ‘Brandy’ (Golden Asiatic black bear) and ‘Donna’ (Cambodian Sunbear) in Cambodia. These bears will not only continue to benefit from the funds raised by this event but in addition, we have been able to sponsor ‘Mian’, a young female Cambodian Sunbear rescued by Free the Bears Fund in 2005.
