On Friday the 9th of October Vetwest and many of the Perth dog community headed out to scenic Whiteman Park for the 2016 Doggies Day Out for a day of good fun and to support the RSPCA.
The weather tempted to deter attendees but it got the rain over early and allowed the day to flourish with some nice yet slightly windy weather.
The turnout was the biggest ever and Perth’s passionate dog owners were out in force with their furry mates alongside. Dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds sniffed their away around the main village area at Whiteman park to meet all the different dogs as well as the friendly people and dog loving exhibitors who were giving out goodies and treats.
Vetwest had a great day and were able to meet lots of new faces as well as some of our wonderful existing clients. We had lots to give away with free Vetwest leads, 2 for 1 vaccination offer at Vetwest Ellenbrook and a competition to win 12 months of preventative health care with Vetwest.
Our lucky competition winner was Alana and her handsome dog Kingston. Congratulations to Kingston who is going to use his new Total Wellness Plan at the brand new Vetwest Ellenbrook which is opening next month.
The majority of dogs were all very well behaved and had a ball with lots of socialisation, attention and treats. There were a couple of scuffs but lucky the Vetwest nurses were on hand and were able to provide advice to owners and direct them to the nearest Vet at Vetwest Ballajura.
Thanks to everyone who came down and said hello and contributed to RSPCA. We hope to see you next year!
