Although Oscar is our trainee nurse, he has many years of experience working in the veterinary industry. He is also our IT to go to person at Vetwest Canning Vale. He started working as an IT professional in Sydney after completing a Bachelor’s Degree in IT for 8 years. He found his calling in the veterinary industry when he moved to Canberra in 2015 with his wife, Elvany, who is an emergency vet registrar. Oscar then began his journey as a nurse assistant at Animal Referral Hospital Canberra. During his time in Canberra, he has also worked at Belconnen Animal Hospital as well as Canberra Veterinary Emergency Services. In his spare time in Canberra, Oscar and his wife also ran a small animal shelter based out of their home rescuing stray cats and kittens and getting them a forever home. In 2020, Oscar and his wife moved to Perth and he began his journey with Vetwest Canning Vale. He is currently getting his qualifications to be a registered nurse. In his spare time, he loves to play soccer and has a cuddle with his 4 cats, 2 dogs, and a bunny.
