On May 29th, we rolled out the welcome mat for our Client Pet First Aid Evening – and wow, what a great night! It was wonderful to see so many of you eager to learn how to help your furry (or fluffy!) friends in an emergency. From spotting the early warning signs of illness to mastering the basics of pet first aid, the night was filled with practical tips, friendly chats, and a few laughs along the way. Your feedback has been amazing, and we’re already planning our next session later this year – stay tuned for dates!
Here’s something we’re extra proud of – Vetwest Whitfords is both Gold ISFM Accredited and ASAVA Accredited.
✨ Gold ISFM Accreditation means we’ve gone the extra mile for our feline friends – think quiet spaces, cat-friendly equipment, and gentle handling to keep stress to a minimum.
✨ ASAVA Accreditation (Australian Small Animal Veterinarians) is a mark of excellence awarded to only a small number of practices across Australia. To achieve it, we underwent a detailed assessment covering everything from our hospital facilities, patient care and treatment standards, to our team’s training, safety procedures, and communication with clients. It’s essentially a stamp of approval that says: “Your pets are in the very best hands.” For you, it means every visit is supported by proven best practice in veterinary medicine.
We also love making specialist care more accessible – saving you the hassle of travelling all over Perth. Here at Vetwest Whitfords, you’ll find:
🐕 Rehabilitation therapy with Dr Susan Hill, our in-house guru with Memberships in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation – helping pets bounce back from surgery, injury, or long-term conditions.
❤️ Echocardiograms with a visiting cardiologist.
🐾 Orthopaedic surgeries performed right here by a visiting Specialist surgeon.
🐶 Dermatology consultations once a month with our visiting Dermatologist.
At Vetwest Whitfords, we’re here to keep tails wagging, purrs rumbling, and pet parents smiling – with gold-standard care, right on your doorstep.
