Vetwest Mandurah is situated right next to the Muzz Buzz and Caltex Service Station, on the corner of Magenta Terrace and Mandurah Road. This new clinic opened on Monday the 20th March 2017.

Vetwest has been in Perth for over 25 years and we exist today because thousands of WA pet owners have been delighted with the compassion we provide to them and the care we provide to their companions. Vetwest Mandurah is no exception to this and our team is made up of people that truly love animals and have dedicated their working careers to veterinary medicine.

Vetwest Mandurah is a brand new hospital with new facilities and an extensive range of diagnostic equipment including a digital X-ray machine, anaesthetic monitoring, dental machine plus much more.

Dedicated dog and cat waiting areas allow a more stress-free environment for your pets, especially for cats. However, it’s not just cats and dogs we see. We see rabbits, ferrets, birds and more!

If you’re in the area come in and say hello. We’d love to give you a tour around our clinic so you can meet the team and see the quality of our new facilities.

You can call us on 9404 1190 Monday to Friday from 7:30 am – 7 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm to discuss the health requirements of your pet or to book your pet in for an appointment. You can also  book an appointment online here.

We look forward to meeting you and your pets!

Meet the team

Narelle Thompson – Veterinarian

Narelle graduated in veterinary medicine from Murdoch University in 2009. She has worked in a mixed practice in rural South Australia followed by a focus on small animal work in the southern Perth metro for the last 5 years. Narelle loves being a great all round vet, nutting out medical problems as well as surgery, x-rays and ultrasound work. At home, Narelle loves spending time with her rescue dogs Bruno and Rooch. Narelle is also a dedicated horsewoman and finds time to train and compete at show jumping in local shows. Narelle is really looking forward to meeting you and your pets!

Sarah Arm – Senior Nurse

Sarah is a competent senior nurse with over 8 years caring for a range of different animals, with a particular passion for our feline friends. Sarah is a local with a menagerie of dogs, cats and chickens and is ready to answer any curly questions related to pets of all kinds. Sarah loves to spend her spare time with her family.

Claire Webling – Veterinary Nurse

  • Certificate in Veterinary Nursing RCVS
  • Degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare

I qualified as a veterinary nurse in England and worked there as a veterinary nurse for 8 years. I then came over to Perth and started my career with Vetwest in 2016.

Along with my nursing qualifications, I also have a degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare and have a passion for puppy socialisation and behaviour.

I moved to Perth with my husband, 2 young daughters and my black labrador Comit. I also share my home with 2 cats Nemo and Olaf, which I have adopted from Vetwest.  I am loving the outdoor way of life here, and enjoy taking my family to the beach and going camping.

Jasmine Collier – Trainee Veterinary Nurse

  • Certificate II in Animal Studies
  • Certificate III in Companion Animal Services

I began working at Vetwest in October 2016 as an Animal Attendant and I am currently a part time trainee vet nurse while completing my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

I am very excited to be a part of the Vetwest team in Mandurah where I will continue to develop new skills that will benefit your pets while they are in our care.

I love to be involved with any volunteer work regarding animal welfare, such as the RSPCA million paws walk, and in my downtime, heading to the local dog beach with my big Great Dane cross – Tiger for a swim.
