Our wonderful Head Nurse, Bessie, has been a valued part of the Vetwest team for nearly 10 years! With a calm head and sharp skills, she truly thrives in high-pressure situations, especially when it comes to emergency cases and monitoring anaesthetics during complex procedures. Her experience and steady presence make her a rock for both our team and our patients.
Outside of the clinic, Bessie lives on her own little hobby farm, surrounded by a lively menagerie of animals – from her Aussie Shepherd to her beloved goats and all sorts of feathered and furred friends in between. When she’s not tending to her property, she’s channelling her energy into Muay Thai – and yes, she’s even stepped into the ring and fought competitively!
Bessie brings strength, dedication, and heart to everything she does, and we’re lucky to have her leading our nursing team.
